The 16th Annual Senior Lifestyle Expo
Get connected with Chicagoland’s largest senior expo! We continue our mission to bring seniors together with the products and services that are invaluable to maintaining their quality of life.
The Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging recently hosted the Senior Lifestyle Expo at the Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace on August 24 and 25, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Over 4,200 adults and their families attended this “ultimate marketplace” for active seniors.
With the support of our sponsors - Lipitor, WYCC-TV20 and the Chicagoland Senior News, the 15th Annual Senior Lifestyle Expo was the place for Chicago area seniors to receive cutting edge information on a wide range of products and services and have a lot of fun!
The 2010 Expo featured over 100 exhibitors, an entertainment stage, health and wellness info, interactive activities and educational seminars. Back again, the Expo will hosted its Senior Idol competition where talented 60+ year olds sang, danced and entertained their way onto the Drury Lane stage to win adulation from the audience and cash prizes to boot!
The Drury Lane Theatre on Wednesday, August 25th performed a special stage production of Hot Mikado for the attendees of the Expo. East met West head-on in this hilarious 1940’s style update of a Gilbert and Sullivan favorite.
Not only was the 15th Annual Senior Lifestyle Expo the place to be for info and fun, but the event also supported the Holiday Meals on Wheels program, providing nutritious meals to vulnerable elders on weekends and holidays. It was a great way to spend a day and help others as well!
