Do you expect to eat 7 days a week? Due to increasing demand and insufficient funding, the publicly funded meals-on-wheels program is limited to only one hot meal per day, Monday through Friday. Many elders must choose between food, medicine, and other necessities! NO nutritious meals are provided on weekends, let alone holidays, under the public program.
Goal - Provide our vulnerable elders with the most basic of human needs, one nutritious meal a day, every day! Receiving no federal or state monies, Holiday Meals on Wheels survives on special events, private and corporate donations and the community.
